How to Use Shareasale to Make Money from Your Website
Why should you use Shareasale?
Online evaluations of Shareasale are mostly positive.
Shareasale is regarded as a dependable source of online affiliate income,
despite the fact that there is a learning curve associated with the placement
and context of affiliate marketing leads.
How does Shareasale operate?
More than 4,800 sellers on Shareasale provide a variety of
goods and services. You can use it by picking one of these retailers and
attempting to drive traffic to their websites. For sales arising from your
reference, you receive a commission.
How to Become an Affiliate with Shareasale:
- Visit Shareasale's website to join up and then click the Affiliate Sign Up link to get started.
You'll be taken to the registration page displayed below.
After entering your country of residence and creating a username and password
you can remember,
- Then select Go to Step 2 to proceed.
You'll be asked for information about your website, including
its URL and primary language, on the following page. It's important to note
that in order to utilize Shareasale, you must have a live website. Therefore,
make sure your website is operational before applying. Once you're finished.
- Then select Move On To Step 3.
Your email address will be required for verification. As soon
as you give such information.
- Click the Fourth Step button.
You'll be prompted to provide the address on this page where
you wish ShareASale to send your payments. Once the form is finished.
- Click the Next Step button.
After clicking Complete Sign Up, all that's left to do is
wait. Normally, it takes 2-3 days to review and approve your application.
How to Begin with Shareasale:
Once your application has been accepted, you may begin adding
affiliate links. You can filter merchants using Shareasle's comprehensive
search tool by category, keywords, sales commission structure, or term of
membership. You can also check over the top 100 merchants to see if any of them
correspond to the subject matter of your website. The commission schedule and
payment amounts are then displayed when you click on a retailer.
With Shareasale, there are three different merchant marketing
models to choose from:
- Pay Per Lead: When a visitor clicks on your affiliate link to a merchant's lead capture form and completes it entirely, you are compensated.
- Pay Per Sale – You get paid when customers click through your direct link to a store or website and buy something.
- Pay Per Click – When visitors click on advertising on your website, you receive a commission.
You can access a merchant's referral links and banners
through your Shareasale account after choosing one. Copy the link, then
navigate to the Website post or content you wish to use it in. Following that,
highlight the text you'll use as the link, go to Website, choose the
Insert/Edit Link box, and then paste the Shareasale affiliate URL.
Shareasale pays commissions monthly, and you can access your
account at any time to view your earnings in real time. The minimum cash out
threshold for Shareasale is $50.
Website Optimization for Shareasale:
No matter where on your website you place affiliate banners
or Shareasale links, if visitors don't click through, you won't get paid.
Your website's influence can be increased and your affiliate
revenue can rise by following these four steps:
1. Select a reputable hosting company that upgrades your website frequently to the most recent version and is dependable, quick, and efficient.
2. Choose a straightforward domain name that expresses the topic of your page effectively. If you write a fitness blog, for instance, be sure to incorporate popular terms from that market area in your Website domain name.
3. Choose a Website theme that is simple to use and complements the voice and design of your posts.
4. Find products that will appeal to your visitors and market them. Make sure you link to businesses that offer things like healthy food options, exercise equipment, or training services if you operate a well-known fitness blog.
How to Maximize Shareasale:
Shareasale is a trustworthy affiliate marketing platform with
a sizable profit potential.
A plan is the first step in converting this potential into
profit. Get your website up and operating as soon as possible to get the most
out of Shareasale. Make sure to choose a fantastic domain name, produce
high-quality content, and draw consistent traffic. After that, register with
Shareasale and choose affiliate marketing links that are relevant to site
visitors.
Finally, incorporate these connections into your content as
organically as you can. While the occasional banner ad or direct product review
may aid in conversion, naturally incorporating Shareasale links into your
writings will serve you best. Visitors won't stay for very long if they think
you're only there to make a deal.
What Is the Payment Process:
We're all here, let's face it, to earn some money. Affiliates
put a lot of effort into promoting their merchant partners through links to
entice readers to click and purchase. To ensure that their affiliates get
compensated for their efforts, merchants are working day and night. Everyone
benefits from this lovely arrangement, so long as someone is in charge of
processing payments.
ShareASale steps in at this point. We handle the payments and
guarantee that they are delivered out promptly. Now let's examine how both the
affiliate and merchant sides of this operate.
Merchants:
Merchants are required to pay a setup fee of $625 and a
minimum deposit of $125 to begin funding their accounts, for a total of $750,
upon account setup. Along with the ShareASale transaction charge, commissions
for affiliates are also paid out of the deposit. By using the Deposit Center,
merchants can always add money to their accounts.
When an affiliate refers a completed sale to a merchant
(among other activities that result in payouts, but we'll discuss manual
commissions/bonuses in another topic), the merchant pays an affiliate a
commission. The predetermined amount will subsequently be taken out of the
merchant's account balance in real-time (commission plus the ShareASale
transaction fee). Affiliate-related transactions will be locked and paid out on
the twentieth of the following month (assuming the merchant account is set at
the default lock date).
Your account will be charged the discrepancy if it does not
generate a minimum of $50 in fees to ShareASale in any given month. Listed
below is the grace period:
- 0-30 Days – No Minimum Fees
- 30+ Days – $35 Monthly Maximum
To add extra funds to your Merchant account using the new interface, select "Deposit Center" under the "My Account" page.
Here is an example of a common sale that a merchant can
encounter. ShareASale charges a commission fee of 20% of the affiliate
compensation.
With a $125 starting balance, the merchant makes a sale that
results in a $10 affiliate commission. The initial merchant balance will then
be reduced by these 10 dollars.
The transaction cost charged by ShareASale is 20% of the
affiliate payout, so $2 in this case (20% of a $10 commission). In this
instance, the merchant would receive a total payout of $12, leaving them with a
$113 balance.
Since we recently enabled SMS notifications for specific
account activities, merchants can now choose to get alerts through SMS when
their account balance hits a predetermined level, triggering a request to
contribute funds.
Auto-Deposit (This is something you must do!)
Our businesses are strongly encouraged to set up
auto-deposit. Manual deposit payment through credit card, eCheck, or Paypal is
an option if Auto-Deposit is not an option.
For accounts wanting to deposit $10,000 or more into an
account, payment via Wire, ACH, or Company Check are available. Visit our Help
Center to open a Help Ticket and learn more about your options.
When Will I Be Paid?
The minimum payment amount for affiliates who wish to receive
money by check is $50. If they would want, they can increase this to a greater
payment trigger amount. This is done from the middle of their modify settings
page.
Affiliates may also get payment via wire transfer or ACH
direct deposit. If the affiliate choose to use direct deposit for payments,
they must complete the form found here in Payment Settings. To complete this
form, they will also require particular information from their checks or bank.
Additionally, while direct deposit is free, wire transfers cost $29 each.
When Will I Be Paid?
Every month, payments are made on the 20th for commissions
from the previous month (unless the merchant has opted for an extended lock
date). For instance, an associate who earns commissions in January is entitled
to reimbursement on February 20. Payments are made on the Monday after the 20th
if it falls on a weekend.
Affiliates should get in touch with our support staff if they
have any questions regarding this; they would be pleased to help.
